What the Heck is a Mimi & Dodo?
Please tell me that we aren’t the only family in the world that makes up words for every day objects.
Definition of Mimi: A milk cup, milk or breast milk or any white substance that is drinkable.
Definition of Dodo: A made up friend that Luci created. She met him in preschool (which she had not attended yet as of the Summer of 2010), he has pink hair, black arms and yellow hands. He’s a good egg and hasn’t gotten in trouble at our house yet.
The Purpose of Mimi & Dodo
Mimi & Dodo was created in February 2011 while I was sitting in my kitchen realizing that my last blog is no longer an outlet for me to talk about our family, my kids, and the craziness that ensues at our house everyday. Now, it’s not because the last blog was a bust, it’s just turned into my business and while I know that my clients want to hear me write in my voice, they probably don’t want to hear me blabber on and on about my weight loss struggles, how cute my kids are and what not.
I needed a place to talk candidly and openly about what is going on in our every day life. As a Work at Home Mom, who spend 24/7 with her children and rarely takes time for herself (even though I tell other moms that it’s a must), I really just needed a place to share and vent, depending on the subject.
I am definitely not a parenting expert but I, like many others have questions that I need answered and I hope that this can be a place for you to feel open about sharing your life experiences with us as well.
